I'm still in the process of gathering bits and pieces for my project and now I'm on the hunt for a FSB, I'm looking for an F-marked A2 FSB without the bayonet mount and possibly no sling mount, I would prefer a pin on but would like something in billet or without the casting lines,I would also prefer a non adjustable FSB (one less thing for me to screw up) am I barking up a tree or chasing unicorns? FSB's seem to be something retailers just have in a drawer in back and not really marketed on their websites, anybody have a direction I should head?

Thanks
Dan

The main reason that FSB's are not sold, most of the time, is b/c each barrel is "fitted" with a FSB.  It then goes into a jig to get drilled for the taper pins.  With that being said, you cant just take a FSB off one barrel and put it on another.  99.99999% of the time the holes cut in the FSB and the barrel will not match up. Hope it helps

Understood, what I'm doing is gathering parts for a build (new undrilled barrel, etc.) when I've collected all the pieces they're going in a box and being shipped to ADCO for assembly, the reasoning behind the question is I'm looking for something "cleaner" than the standard forged FSB with the casting stripe on the front and back to go on my "all billet" 14.5" build.
The fallback position is to have a standard forged FSB treated to ADCO's "retro" clean up procedure, was just hoping to find something already in production, ready to roll.

Thanks

What you're looking for doesn't exist in stock form.  You can have one made though.  ADCO offers the services necessary to get what you want, they can even mount it for you.

That's the conclusion I was coming up with, just wanted to exhaust all avenues before placing an order, the way the universe treats me I'll place the order and find exactly what I wanted the day after the order ships.

Thanks for the help

you could get a cast one from Olympic Arms, they still have the bayo lug and ears for a swivel, but no forge lines, and the edges are crisp unlike a forged fsb

$25.03

What I was hoping for was something like this in a pin on without the adjustability.

Who makes that?  I wonder if maybe they can point you in the right direction to get one with out the set screws...They may not do it just for one guy but it doesnt hurt to ask...

Armalite makes an FSB that clamps on with allen screws, so you don't need to have the FSB pinned, but they are in high-demand for that reason, and probably not in stock right now.

Bravo Company USA sells A2 FSB's, modern "F" marked, but they need to be professionally installed.  I would also recommend the services of ADCO in that regard.

Ok, I've come to the conclusion I'm going to have a forged FSB treated to the ADCO "retro" clean up procedure, my next question is does anyone make an F-marked FSB without the bayonette lug? Also, how much real difference would a standard height FSB make on a 14.5" middy with an A1 removeable "carry" handle

Thanks
