So, after all these years of ignoring these questions.... I am now asking. My son is building his first AR. (He's 12) He/we just bought a barrel and it has an A2 front sight with no post. What post do I need to get for a flattop A3 upper? A standard, or the Bushmaster extra tall? The flattop is taller and the A2 front sight is shorter so it will shoot high. Right? Do I really need a taller front sight post? Help me get it right for the boy. Thanks.
Sorry. It's a carbine with a 16" bbl.
