| Thinking about trading my varmint barrel with railed gas block out for a 20" regular barrel with an A2 post. What kinda issues would I run into with the scope having to look thru the sight post? I imagine it would be a blurry mess... |
| Well I was planning to put a 3-9x40 scope on it. I tested "view obstruction" with my finger just sorta fooling around and using it to substitue a sight post and it blurred the vision through the scope pretty badly at 3x. I didnt try it at any higher magnifications though. |
Had a cheap 3-9x42 scope with high profile mounts on it laying around and decided to slap it on there and see what happens. Mounted up fine and sits right over the rear MBUS with perfect clearance when its folded down and even on 3x you can't see the FSB in the scope. Looks like problem solved
