Local dealer has several complete DPMS A4 flat top uppers (charging handle, forward assist, dust covers) and I can take my CMMG lower to him and try one for best fit.
He says they are DPMS and they are all black, have a "key hole" forge code and etched "T" numbers that were finished out in the receiver black color. I think they had a "M" stamped above the gas tube hole on the front.
For a project is the new current made DPMS upper good to go or should I take a pass and get a Rock River upper........even if I can not pre fit the upper/ lower? They are both black in color.

Good hard coat and will last or soft skin and will wear soon?

I will be using a new FN bolt and Colt FA BCG along with a Colt carry handle.

I've never seen a DPMS upper with T marks or an M above the gas tube hole.

Well, he said all his parts were DPMS and there were several complete DPMS rifles in the shop.......

Seems to have been made by a good maker with that forge code, just do not know about the finishing that was done to it after it left,
