Goofing off and put my Tiablo ACE-G on the Rock. It's mounted on a VTAC mount which is mounted on a cheap barrel mount for the time being. I'm trying to get some ideas what position I want my torch mounted in so don't rib me too hard over it . I usually have the Fenix P3D Q5 mounted in this location. And the Fenix is bright as hell @ 215 advertised lumen's. But DAMN this ACE-G is one bright lamp and blows the Fenix away with output and throw. And it sure does fit well with this mount. The ACE comes with an extension tube to use 4 batteries. Here it is shown with the short 2 batt tube on it. Cant really tell that is any brighter with the extension and 2 more batteries. Just longer run time but at the cost of more weight.

And I know, my photo skillz are way better than Stickman's!

Yes. It's the one the just came out. I had it on pre-order from 4 7's and got it about a week ago. I don't have any beam shots. Don't really have a good enough camera for it. Someone has a nice reveiw on it here: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=229726. Site was down when I posted this.

One guy said that 4 CR123's was a problem. That's how I used mine until I put it on the AR. No problems for me with 4 batteries. Hopefully a fluke on that particular light.

thanks cphillips.  i've been looking at getting either a jetbeam m1x/ olight m30/ or tiablo ace.  i saw the youtube video goinggear made comparing the olight m30/fenix tk40 and jetbeam m1x, but no tiablo ace.

i just got the fenix tk40 and ta30.  comparing them side by side, i thought my batteries in my ta30 were dead.    how's the throw on the tiablo?  is it similar to the fenix tk40?  i heard a wife whisper to her husband "is that a car headlight in the guy's hand" when i walk my dog at night

I'm a big time Fenix fan. Very impressed with their products. I have a several Streamlight and Surefire lamps also. The Fenix stuff is probbably favorite go to light. I am having a hard time leaving the Tiablo alone though.

The throw on this Tiablo is un-real. There is another generic lamp out that is real close to the ACE that I wouldn't mind having and its only around 70 bucks if I remeber correctly. I dont know if it is like the ACE g and capable of gun mounting though. I will look for the link to it.

yeah, i've been waiting for surefire to release their lights, but i've been impressed with the quality.  looking at your tiablo ace makes me want to get one, but they've been releasing so many good looking lights lately.  look forward to hearing more of your impressions.

thanks,

mike

I've got the original Tiablo ACE and really like it. I wish I had waited for the ACE-G tho , being able to weapon mount it would be nice.
