I read somewhere that people are having accuracy trouble with ACOGS when their eyes are not aligned with the center of the scope. Does anyone know if eye-position during shooting can change the POI?

Unless you're using an Aimpoint or an EOtech, eye position/cheek weld will always change POI.  Even with an Aimpoiint or EOtech the checkweld is important at close range or when using a magnifier.

How much change are we talking about here? 1" @ 100? More?

just got thru jeff gonzales's class cc1 and shoot on the move with my ta31. the range was setup for 50 yds and less. tell ya what, i love my acog , but i think i'm gonna buy another red dot sight. shooting on the move with the parallax and magnification made life very difficult for me, not impossible but very difficult. i know some guys will tell ya i need more practice with my ta31, but most of the guys with red dot were faster and more accurate in their shots on the move. i'll keep my ta31 for med. range work.
