I have a new TA31RCO150 and would like to zero it to be able to use BDC but the range is set up in yards from 50 to 300 from the fireing stations. I am shooting a 6920 with xm193 ammo.  and was wanting to know where POI should be at 100' 200' and 300' yards to make the sight in work for meters

I hope someone can help me out .Thanks..

You need to sight it in so your shots are in line with the very tip of the chevron at 100 meters. If you use yards instead you'll be off by quite a bit since 100 meters is only 91 yards.

ETA: Did your ACOG come with a manual? There's lots of important information in there.

Thanks for posting. I know it's set up for meters but the problem is the range has their targets set up in yards not meters. That is why I need to know where the POI at 100' 200' and 300' yards should be to keep the bdc right when the shooting distances are in meters.

It sounds like what you are trying to do is set up your ACOG in yards instead of meters so that you can use the BDC at your range that is set up in yards. If that's what you're trying to do I'd say that you could try sighting in at 100 yards. It might get you close since you're only shooting out to 300 yards, but for longer distances it will probably be way off. I don't think you can sight in using yards and have the BDC be accurate at 3, 4, 5, and 600 yards. Maybe I'm wrong on this? (help, someone?)

At 300 yards, you're not even really into the BDC yet anyway, just the tip of the BDC line so the variation at this distance is probably going to be small.

If it were me though, it would really irritate me to set up my ACOG this way. Any chance you can get the range to allow you to place your own targets?

Agree.  At 300 whatever you are still only in the chevron.  Your zero will be fine at 100-300 using yards or meters.  At 600 using yards you will be off, but then again your hold, wind, bullets, and target will vary more than your zero.

Soooo, Can I zero a little high at 100 YARDS to be on at 100 METERS. Same for 300 yards and 300 meters. If so how high. Can a ballistic program show the trajectory for this? Not that I would know how to use one anyway. I know that a range set up in meters would work best but where I'm shooting the row of targets are set up in yards with embankments behind them so there Isn't the option of setting up different targets in meters. I haven't been to a lot of ranges but the few that I have been to were all in yards. I KNOW that I'm being a little anal here, well maybe somewhat more than a little. I have been told more than once that i"m obsessive compulsive . Thanks for the help everyone.

Again, from 100-300 it does not matter.  Zero POA/POI at 100 and at 300 you will not be able to hold it steady enough to tell yards from meters.  100/300 is all in the chevron.  Only when you start using 400-800 will you start being off some, but even then, trigger, hold, ammo and wind will cause you more grief than your good 100yd zero.

i have the acog Ta31 and a Ta11. the reticle on both is a chevron. I did not follow the recommended specs as I cannot get to hit anyting correctly.
running a 69 grain BH ammo, i zero the tip of the chevron at 50 yds. then I reconfirm the same poi at 200. that's it !! it works
this is game gun use for 3 gun matches and we use the bdc extensively to hit a target from 50 yrds to 400 yds and the target size is 10 inch
so go figure the level of accuracy we need to be competitve.  i suck, but the gun is dead on target
