I picked up a Trijicon Acog w/ a GG&G QD mount. The mounting bracket appears to be just a bit narrow and will not seat on the rail section of the reciever. On one upper it will fit but needs to be forced into position. Not what you'd consider a normal circumstance. The other Spikes upper is a no go. I don't want to force it anymore in fear of breaking something. Was this a common problem with the GG&G? Doesn't appear to be any adjustment that would help this situation. Any suggestions? Help would be appreciated.

First thing I would do is call GG&G.

In terms of fitting different rails, there is a tolerance on rails and mounts and not every rail will be in the tolerance which is why some brands (Larue and ADM come to mind) are advertised as being adjustable.  GG&G may be adjustable as well, I don't know.

I have seen non-adjustable mounts have issues on some rails.
