[ARCHIVED THREAD] - ACOG Mount Help

I bought an TA31F and a Larue mount. and am trying to take the factory mount off so I can mount it on the Larue. Problem is that I cannot get it unscrewed!!! Is it loctited on? Any ideas?

Mine was locktite'd in the factory mount. I used a heavy duty screwdriver, a lot of downward pressure on the screw, and a few choice words before the screw finally broke free.

a little elbow grease will get the screws undone.

it looks great once you have the TA31F in the larue. here's mine.

That's exactly how to do it....the key is downward pressure. You should have replacement hardware with your LT mount, so don't worry about the original screw's finish.

They'll come off.
