I was looking at an AR at a Pawn shop the other day, killing time, and noticed one with an ACOG.

Well I had to take a closer look.

The scope body was very nice and the FOV and brightness were very nice just like an ACOG.

The Body of the scope said Trijicon ACOG, but did not have a model number, the only other number was JN8-12.

It was daylight, but I thought a saw a slight red tint in lower light, so I think it had tritium illumination.

The oddest thing was the reticle, it had the basic crosshairs like a TA01, but in the center was a dot placed were the crosshairs would meet.

Also, I believe every line of the BDC reticle had a number 2,3,4,5, etc. Were as the TA01 that I have skips numbers.

It did not have the backup sites on top.

What model of ACOG is this or is it a knock-off?

Is the price range reasonable for it to be a real ACOG? If it seems too good to be true, then it probably is.

It was mounted on an okay condition 16 inch carbine bushmaster with coll. car stock.

Prices was $1350.00

The reticle really threw me off, or I would have been totally convinced.

Anyone else have any ideas on this?

Could this be an infamous NcStar Scope?

Has Trijicon ever made a reticle like the one described above?

Does the pawn shop owner know what it is?
Does the $1350 price include the rifle?

Tell us all the info if you want us to help.

I didn't talk to the owner, but the pawn shop worker didn't know anything (do they ever?).

He was saying it was an ACOG, but he could not verify the model.

Yes, price included a semi beat up bushmaster carbine.

Oh, and it was on an A2 carry handle.

Go back and see if you can take a pic of it. All the ACOG fans around here will know in a heartbeat if it is real or not.

More airsoft crap being pawned off to real shooters.

I myself am an airsofter but its beginning to piss me off that alot of these japanese bozo's are marketing their products as "ok" to use on real steel weapons.  Sure, its ok for all of one shot before the scope goes thermonuclear on you and explodes violently.

In all fairness to this guy, he never mentioned that these scopes were for use on real steel rifles but i still think that products made for airsoft should be marked as such.
