Can you put a plain jane TA31 M16/AR15 donut reticle on a mount & put it on your flat top? Or is this particular model only meant for an A2 carry handle? I like the donut reticle the best, but I like mounting my optics directly to the fla top rail. Thanks.

The TA-31 may be mounted directly to the flat-top without any issues.

By all means, you just need a mount. I have a spare TA51 mount, new and unused, and two loose ARMS 19S mounts (don't buy those lol). Get a LaRue ACOG mount and you'll be very happy.

Roger that, thanks. Which LT mount? Would anyone recommend the GG&G ACCUCAM ACOG mount also?

No experience with GG&G ACOG mount, just the 19S, 19LD and LT100. See my review of these here
