I'm looking at the Doughnut of Death model (.308).
How durable is the FO.
If the FO breaks, can you still see the doughnut?
Is it tritium?
Will it no longer be visible if the tritium burns out?

Thanks.

fiber optic makes it glow from sunlight but the black shape will still be there regardless of the FO tube
Tritium lights the reticle at night but again even when it burns out the black will stil lshow

So, if the FO Tube were to be removed, the doughnut would still be there, but black and not red correct.
Essentially like the TA 01 NSN's reticule?

Thanks

It'll still glow red from the tritium in low light.  Without the fiber optics tube, it'll be a black circle during the day.

Like they said, it'll still be there black.  But good luck breaking the fiber optic.  ACOGs are built like tanks.

The fiber optic is coated in Lexan and protected by aluminum wings integral with the ACOG's housing. I don't think you'll break the fiber optic.
