I picked up a like new 3x30 ACOG real cheap cause the previous owner didnt know how to remove the hex screw and broke off a cheap hex wrench in it.
So, whats the trick to remove the broken hex wrench piece? |

Dont have JB Weld so tried some super glue.
No joy, wouldnt stick. So used the dremel and a tiny round burr bit to give me a divit to hit against. Was able to get one side up, then pushed that side down, Did this a couple of times, back and forth, till I was able to gently bang the mount on the work bench. Broken hex fell out. Looks like the guy used a cheap ball hex and it wasnt strong enough. Also looks like red locktite on the mount screw so no wonder it broke a ball hex. |
