| I 'm undecided on which model to get.Recently i've seen ACOGs with a DOKTER or similar small red dot sight on top.Which model is this for,who makes the mount, how much and is it worth it??Does it work better than the tritium set up on the nsn.All opinions and feedback welcome.I'm trying to get the best of both worlds, fast close and dirty and great midrange. |

The DOKTER setup is for the TA01 model, which do not have BAC capability. What you most likely want ("fast close and dirty and great midrange") is either the Compact ACOG or the TA11/TA31 Series. These are all BAC capable and have several mounting options. The majority of folks here prefer the donut reticle. The chevron and the triangle also have strong proponents. Check around for prices and availability. The fiber optic/tritium system on these optics is simply amazing. You have to see it to believe it. |

For a moment I thoght you said "high school gadget factor" [:d] specwargear.com makes the Optima and Docter sight adapters for the TA01NSN. The BUIS on the TA01NSN is pretty useless, not to mention the front blade has to be drifted to the left, and then the windage is all messed up, I think I can point the rifle down range without any sights and still do better than that. I just went to that site and found they're making new Optima/Docter adapters, good news is there's one for the TA01, but for the TA11? sigh...what the hell for I have no idea. |
