Some people have had problems with the 98 or 99 lot.  Most people think it's just fine.

At $200 a case, it's a good price when you compare it to other stuf at $250-300 a case.  It's not a good price when you realize that people like me were buying it for $166 a case not 3 months ago.

Worse than that price, fellas.

I bought it 6 mo. ago at ammunitionstore.com at $149/k at their store--no delivery fee.

They then "jacked" it up to $200.

Altho I have the dreaded 1999 Headstamp, I have had no issues with it in my 20" Colt H-Bar. Shoots pretty hot and good, with reloadable boxer brass.

how is the brass for reloading?

I have shot about 2000-2500 rounds of the 98 lot. No problems at all out of my 16" lightweight carbine.

I would advise that you check rounds as you load. I did find a few I deemed unsafe to shoot, but not too often maybe a rough estimate of 1 out of 100 rounds? Usually just dents in the case or a crooked bullet, usual practice with surp. ammo.

Primers are crimped and sealed. Bullet has black tar sealant. If you have a swager then reloading is fine. I've reloaded a lot of the brass with out any problems either. I generally use them for about 6 loadings without problems, if I don't lose it before hand.

For that price, I'd buy some. I would stay away from the 99 lot as I have heard a lot people expriencing problems with that specific lot. 2000+ seem to be pretty good. No problems when I shot the 98 lot I had.

I was sorting out some of mine a couple of weeks ago and noticed primers on some that fell out of thier pocket.  I think I will dump mine in the scrap box.

i have not shot any 99 lot...but have shot many other lots and for $200 per k, and i love it...reasonably accurate out of my 20' bushmaster and no ftf.

I bought the last i knew of last week of the 98 lot and would love to know where there is more at the price i mentioned above...

please let me know where....

I have just over 2k of 2000-2004 HS Adcom. Has performed well in my M-4 and 20".
At the last show I was told that the 55 gr Adcom would be ava. in the country by years end. If the pricing  is .20cents/rd or under then I will be game. Cross Our fingers

I have fired thousands of rounds of ADCOM 99 without a problem.  Shot it out of 14 1/2s", 16s", and 20s".  Colts and BMs.  Most of the posts I see where people talk about the dreaded 99 HS end up saying it works well for them

You will not hear that from me.  A buddy an I split 2 cases of 99HS when it first came out from SG this last time.   It all went back for popping primers.   We also each had bought 400-500 rounds of 98HS from Gander Mountain.   It must be inspected due to spilt cases and bad crimps before firing.   I have also had a couple off popped primers with it and those are the cases I was talking about above that some of the primer pockets are so loose after firing the primers will tap out.

IMHO from my OWN experience with ADCOM it is SHIT!

I 've had both 98 and 99 stamped , After inspecting about 300 rounds I found one that I would not fire due to a mis seated bullet. I've had one or two popped primers other than that its all been good.

So basically anything other than the 99 stamped stuff is good to punch paper.  At least that seems to be what I have gleaned from other threads so far.

That is my observation. I have not used any lot 99, but all the other lots have been fine. No FTF, no visual rejects, no blown primers and accuracy in my 20' bushmaster has been better than other ss109/855 ammo. I have gone through almost 1200 rounds of various lots to date. And @ $20-22 per hundred I intend to continue buying and using. But as of late I can find no more.

Please let me know if you see some around.....

Bought 500 rnds of '98 lot. Out of 200 rnds I noted one case that nearly KB'd. Case shoulder had 3 splits/fissures showing.
