Anyone have experience with the BTE (Battle Tested Equipment) micro adj gas block?  I see them on ebay for just under $50.  SS or SS cerakoted black same price.  Was looking at Syrac but if the BTE works just as well, and is SS, and save $50....  So, anybody out there have one they can comment on?

I have purchased three of these. So far they run great. Very good company to deal with. I lost a hardware kit while waiting on parts for a build & I asked to buy it when I bought another block & they included it for free.

Good value for the money.

Add; Fit great under my MI SSK K-mod

Any springs, balls or other very small internal parts to become innoperable with carbon build up?  How is the setting secured?

i have three of these as well. one on a 7.5" 5.56 pistol, one on a 7.62x39 7.5" pistol and the other is waiting to go on my 10.5" 5.56 barrel. they work fine for me, set screw to the barrel and just use a set screw to adjust gas. no problems to report from me after about 2000rnds through both of them

They are very similar to the Kies blocks. Tried those also...

No springs or stuff like that. Just give the threads of the set screw a little dab of loctite blue, let sit overnight & viola ,  firm setting adjustment that doesn't back out.

3 full turns from fully seated is where I start & adjust in or out for functionality from there.

I have seen over 50fps increase from a properly adjusted block. I used one on a 300blk build & it shot right at 1,020- 1050 w/ hornady 208grn AMAX's. With the BTE block it was over 1100, closer to 1150...

Over gassed is slower gased.... I say.

Only bad thing is the "Crack" with those... oh well I load my own that doesn't crack.

Thanks for the info.  One more question Gtfoxy, blue loctite ?....not so much for heat.  Gas blocks will get hot.  There is a red loctite that resists heat up to a point...would this not be more applicable ??

Red loctite may require that you heat the screws up with a torch to loosen them should you decide to remove the GB later. I just picked up this today.

SLR Adjustable gas block

I went in the shop and met the owners. I took in my upper receiver and new barrel. Alfredo set it all up for me with the new Solo series 11" hand guard.
Cant wait to try it out.

I would not use red personally for the above mentioned reasons.

The powdery breakdown of Blue is entirely acceptable in this application.
