Is there a way to tell if this is real?

I had to disassemble and add some loctite to my Recon-X mount. Where the rings come together to clamp onto the base.
There was discernable play in the mount. I could grab my scope by the ocular ring and feel some slop pushing up and down. The loctite wasn't for the fasteners, it was to fill the gap between the rings and the base of the mount. I have been happy with the return to zero abilities of the mount now that I have that issue sorted out. Although I rarely take the optic off the rifle. Maybe once a year. |

I have not had any issues, though my long range shooters are all fixed ring. No problems swapping between aimpoint pro's and scopes when shooting out to 300m (my max local range) I always try to snug them to the rear before throwing the lever. You should snug them to the front. That's the direction they want to move due to recoil. |
