I'm wanting to add a Magpul AGG, I'd like to get some comments on which is better the AFG1 or AFG2?

What rail are mounting it in? Some require that you cut the "wings" of the original AFG

Did you manage to mount one on an MOE HG without a rail? I want to do that to my 308, directly to the bottom of the HG without a rail for a cleaner look

I plan on getting the DD AR15 light rail, and want one for my M&P 15-22. Just been reading the news and noticed they were gonna go after any fore end accessories also. So I wanted to get them before the were obsolete.

I like the -1 for most applications as the wings take up space that offer more grip surface area. The -2 fits wider rails. I have all -1s except on my Badger Ordnance that has a wide flat bottom. The -2 also has a steeper rear angle that makes it take up less rail space.

AFG2 for a smaller footprint.

I like the AFG2. I have a ruger SR556 and it came with troy rail cover, the AFG1 will not work with the rail covers.
