I am a new owner of a Bushmaster Super Light A3 5.56 Carbine 1:9 thanks to a GREAT friend who thought I needed one for my birthday. Unfortuneately, he knows as much about carbine weapons as I do, but I am learning more from this site and your posts and am anxious to get to the range. I am hoping you can help me with the ammo he gave me. Like others who have posted, he said the ammo was scarce on the shelf so he got me a little of everything. Winchester ZQ3262 5.56 55g JSP...havent seen this ammo on any post or search. Can someone help with some info on this ammo? Also, what ammo should I use to break this rifle in and how many rounds? He also gave me Remington Premier Accutips 223 55g PRA223RC, Hornady 223 40g V-Max and PMC Bronze 55g FMJ-BT...can I use any of these to break in the rifle? Thanks for the help!

In my opinion, it would be fine to break in that rifle with anything you've listed.  The only ammo I would not use to break in a rifle would be steel cased/zinc plated (wolf/barnaul) and heavier rounds like 75gr.  Anything else is fair game.

No "break in" really required for your barrel, just try a little of everything you've got and see what shoots best out of your rifle.  I tend to avoid JSP bullets, mostly because FMJ are the same price or cheaper, but they feed just as well in my rifle.

Shooting has become an expensive hobby, and your ammo selection will more likely be influenced by price than any other factor. Congrats on the new rifle.
