| I have a RRA coyote rifle it shoots the best with Black Hills 50 grain V-max in a blue box and I can't find anymore any where can anyone tell me the differnce between the blue box and red box Black Hills ammo. Any suggestions on any other ammo for this gun, I did try Ultra Max in 55 grain NBT and they did not shoot as well. I may be to picky but the Black Hills would shoot one hole at 100 yards holding a group about the size of a dime, the Ultra Max would group about the size of a fifty cent piece at 100 yards. Thanks in advance for any advise. |

Blue box is Black Hills remanufactured ammo I dont have any experience with it but most people on Arf.com will tell you its just as good as other companies first line ammo. Red Box is Black Hills new ammo. Try Kiser Munitions (they advertise all over this site) for Black Hills (both Blue and Red Box). |
| The only diff between red and blue is the cases. Red is new case, blue is once fired case. I have shot a lot of both and can't tell the difference. The BH 52 gr HP is pretty accurate as well and may be easier to find. It shoots a little softer but hurts coyotes badly. The 55 and 60gr VMAX loads from BH are also very accurate and bad medicine. |
