O.K. I'm about fed up with trying to order bulk ammo.  Need recommendations...  I need 3Krds of surplus 5.56 (not wolf), 3K rds of .45,  2k rds of .40, and as much Hirtenberger +p+ suplus 9mm as I can find.

Before you point me in some directions, let me put in my input:

Cheaper than Dirt's prices have skyrocketed
I don't want Wolf ammo
Several of the advertisers in Shotgun news have nothing that they advertise
A certain advertiser has only one brand and you have to fax an ID???
Certain other places have double or triple shipping rates??

O.K. can someone point me to a single source, non Wolf, reasonably priced and stocked source????

Thanks.   Pat

Dunno about the Hirtenberger, but the other stuff you might consider Cabelas. While not the cheapest on initial ammo price, they have VERY low shipping rates and usually will come in under the competition.

SportsmansGuide is good too, if you have the Club Membership and use the online discount coupon codes.

BTW, I suggest you try Wolf....it'll make your penis bigger.

I'll take anything to make my penis bigger.  Purchasing a ton of guns has yet to do it...I bought a muscle car and that didn't do it either.  Shit, I gotta work on this New Mexico white snake.

I know that Wolf works...but after two years of Afghan time, I'm about sick of seeing the Russian painted cases...I'll pay the extra for brass...just me ya know.

One of the e-tailers has $5.00 shipping, can't remember who that was.   I've been using Master Cast out of PA for years...but their prices have gone up to higher than new ammo.

Nothing has been more irritating than going to a "Shotgun News" advertiser, and finding out that nothing is in stock, or the prices are considerbly higher than advertised.   I might order some more from Outdoor Marksmanship Corp...they were pretty decent...shipping a little expensive, though.

Cabelas for one order it is....I'll see how the price works out.  Thanks for the tips.

That's the side effect of printed ads (vs. online ads).  Shotgun News ads are almost 90 days old before the issue hits stores.  And ammo prices (and demand on a shrinking supply) have risen a lot since then.

You can get three cases of the Guatamalen 223 from Century Arms delivered for $690.  That's 1440 round cases.

Call them, don't use the website; it's a monthly special and the website has the old price. See this thread for more details.
