| I read it here some time last week about making the handguard remover tools and there's was a link attached but I can not find it(I should have bookmarked it), did the searched but comes up with nothing. Can you help?. Thanks. |

This is the tool I use. http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/mkoljone/handandpencil/hand.jpg Its silly to waste $25 on something to remove them. If you want to stop by, I will take them off for $25. |
And it has so many other uses! |

20 years ago, I had no problem just pushing the ring down with My hand far enough to do the job. A while back, I turned 50, & I had to break-down & buy a tool for the needed extra leverage. My question to You all: will My Delta ring spring just keep getting stronger with age? ![]() ![]() ![]() The Ol' Crew Chief |

I've never had any problem removing the guards on my Colt A2 with the delta ring. Now the older rifles with the flat slip ring is another story. I removed the handguards on my SP1 once in 1979. It took my two hands, a small screwdriver and one of mom's hands. She was a good sport. And since I've got two or three retro rifles I've purchased a ready made tool as mom is no longer around to lend a helping hand. |

Thanks for the links but I already did that and that's not what I'm after, there was a link that one of the member here post about how to make one from stuff that you can get from home depot/lowe, in the provided link, there are pictures showing step by step of dimension and how to make one, ughhhhh can remember good lately, I hate my oldage. |
Haha, my first thought was "barrel nut or his nuts?" or maybe $25 for a handjob? thats one hell of a value! |
