I'm interested in buying a custom upper for my AR with these features: -14.5 barrel with mid-length gas system (chrome-lined or stainless; don't mind paying more, but the mid-length GS is really what I'm after) -perm. attached muzzle device (debating between Troy Ind. and a Vortex) -9" free-float rail system (debating between Troy Ind. and LaRue) -PRI gas block/front sight Where should I start looking that I can get a complete upper built to these specs? thanks! |

If you have the patience, CMMG is going to be the cheapest of those by far. They'll toss on a G6A2 pretty affordably, and will attach any rail on there for pretty good prices. They'll send it built to each spec you've listed so far. If you're itching to toss more money at it, their VLTOR MUR 1A built uppers are fantastically priced (but added lead time, unfortunately), so look into that. MSTN would be a fantastic higher end option, and of course there's ADCO, others I can't recall in this drunken stupor |
