I am going to be purchasing my first AR15 and it will only be used for back yard target practice.  This will be my only rifle and I want something that is accurate, has some power, and is a lot of fun to shoot.  Should I go with the traditional .223 or an AK .762X39 variant?

Go with a reg AR15,  the K .762X39 variant is for suckers.

Not to mention problemmatic and looks like crap.

Good luck.
