I have a AR Upper Vise Block "Clamp" style.

BUT I seem to recall there being a better option for holding the upper while you assemble?

I can't recall. please refresh my memory!

This....much cheaper than the Geisselle Reaction Rod.

I believe you are thinking of the Geissele Reaction Rod. I have one and it works great.

IMHO the Wheeler AR upper vise block is a better value. The DPMS vise block puts too much stress on your take down holes.

I have one similar to the picture above.

I was thinking of the giessle reaction rod.

The brownells one is interesting because i can use my torque wrench directly on it.

Thanks!
