I am new to this weapon, so forgive me if I ask something that should be obvious.
I was looking around in a Pawn Shop and saw an Olympic Arms AR15. It has a collapsible stock, a flash suppressor, and is a carbine version, I think. I did try the stock and it telescopes in and out.
The salesman said it is postban and came with a 10 round mag.
Are some Olympic AR15's pre-ban, or did someone possibly assemble this from a kit and make an illegal weapon?
The price on it is $699.00, and after asking once what they would take he came down to $625.00 so I could walk out with it for $600.00 at the most.
Is this price in line with it's real value, or should I pass on it?
Thanks for any and all advice,
Jim

Check the serial #

www.geocities.com/Pipeline/2494/serial.html

You might get lucky and it is a PRE-BAN...

If it is not a pre-ban, it is an illegal weapon.

Good luck

Thanks for the link. It should help a lot.
Do you know if that price is a good deal if it IS pre-ban? I would hate to not take advantage of a bargain, if it is one.
Thanks,
Jim

If it is a preban and in good shape it is worth at least $1100.00

It would sell at a gunshow here is AZ for $1300.00 pretty fast.

I hope you get lucky.

I will get the serial number and exact model number Monday.
This little shop hasn't sold many weapons before, so I should have a little time.
Wish me luck,
Jim
