Does anyone have experience with the A.R.M.S. #71L-R?

They look like the A.R.M.S. #40L-SP, but made from polymer instead of metal. They are also about half the price.

Thanks!

I have a pair on my noveske for the past 6 or so months. I like the aperture system on them, the small aperture flips up in front of the CQB aperture for the 100 meter, and the notch on top gives you a 600 meter sight. Flip the small aperture down and you have a good large aperture for under-50 meter work.  I do think they are on the tall side when folded...about 0.5" or so tall. Durability seems good, but I haven't really banged them around enough to know their limits. The push button releases work well and the angles on the plastic ensure smooth operation and minimal/no long term wear and tear. Folding is a little hit-or miss it seems, rear side folds with a positive definite click, front side kinda just slides in there with no firm click to it.

One flaw is that the windage adjustment can have some play to it. The detente on the windage does push the nob out about from the sight body by about 1/10". If you push down on the windage nob it will cause the POA to shift. But when released, detente seems to pop it back in place. None the less, if you have them up and something is pushing on the windage nob, it will shift your POA.

From what I have seen with them so far, I think they are a very viable alternative to Magpul MBUS sights, but don't expect them to be on the same level as a pair of Troy or metal ARMS sights.

I am currently looking to go to a metal set of flip up front and rear sights.

Buy Magpul.  They aren't DICK Swan.

i wish this website would be more technical and less butt hurt when it comes to ARMS.

ARMS makes very good BUIS, but thats honestly about it, ive used #40's alot and have always liked them, a buddy of mine has the polymer ones and they are holding up well
