Can someone take out the spring that holds the retaining latch and show me what yours looks like?

I simply can't get mine to work properly.

The latch either walks out or unlatches and flips the sight up while firing.

I've taken the spring out, and can't see any other way it can be placed back to stop this from happening.

thanks.

That is strange. I have an A.R.M.S. #40-L and the latch is something that I NEVER thought could malfunction. I'll try and post some pics tonight, but I don't think I'll be removing any springs

Do you think it's possiblt that you have a clone? My latch is powerful and positively locks. Actually it locks so well that MANY people don't like that type of flip sight.

I have not done this yet, but it looks to me like you could stick the latch in most of the way (with the spring), give the latch a spin or two, and then push the latch in the rest of the way. That should give you the proper amount of tension.
