Same thing happened to me years ago. Loctite 242 fixed the problem. I hate to use locktite, I have it on a 9mm AR currently, but I don't know that I want it to stay there. I might move it to another AR later on. Just one drop of loctite is needed... dont go crazy...it can still be taken off if needed, just add a little heat. with the cable is used on newer sights precisely to prevent the loss of the nut... I prefer the ones without the cable for clones I am building. |
| Just thought I'd mention that I have two of these ARMS #40 backup iron sites. My older one does not have the little retention cable you mentioned, but a new one I just recently bought for one of my rifles does have it. Looks like something they added with a product update at some point. |

they added that cable in the 2006/2007 timeframe your ARMS BUIS should have come with purple loctite, . Not that I remember. It has been a long while though. i had three ARMS #40s and they all came with some weird triangular white vial of purple loctite, maybe they stopped doing it... go with the blue |
