| What ARMS mount would I need to mount a scope on a flat top upper with the standard FSB (say a 3-9 scope for example)? Or other mounting solutions? |
| I have used the #22 high rings for this. With a 3-9 scope, at the lowest magnifications, you'll see a slight blur of the FSB, but above 4 or 5x, nothing. be aware that with a scope that has a 1-inch tube, you'd also need a pair of the 1" ring inserts, which pushes the cost up. You could also get an Armalite 1-pc mount, which is available with 1" rings, and is less expensive than the ARMS rings. |
Because every piece of ARMS gear I ever had was sub standard. And came loose. Back in the day (2003) we dealt with that shit because it was better than the alternative. Now its not top notch kit anymore, so there is no point to it. |

I was unimpressed with the ARMS mount that I had mounted on one of my rifles for several years. Finally sold it and purchased something for half the original cost of the ARMS, but having twice as much quality. They sure look cool, but the design sucks. Weak, and did not fit particularly well. As always, YMMV. |
I've have a ARMS #35 base and medium rings that has over 2K rounds on it. I take it off and on almost everytime that I go to the range and I don't have a RTZ problem nor is the mount loose.... ETA it's been on two different AR-10s.... |
