All,
I put together a couple ARs last year before the new laws went into effect in MD in October. I thought I would be out of business now until the laws were changed, but an acquaintance said I can still get stripped lowers shipped to an FFL, but I have to do the pistol paperwork on it instead of long gun. Does anybody know if that is correct? I would like to build a couple more M16A1 looking ARs over the winter if I can legally by the lowers. Scott |
| I have talked to a few FFL'S in MD, they stated there were still loopholes to make an AR15 legal in MD. We still ship lowers to FFLS in MD. It is up to the receiving FFL to make sure they are compliant before transferring to the end customer. I suggest talking to your local dealer who will be receiving the lowers to get their take on it. |

Anything you build must be a pistol, or heavy barrel rifle. Building a 601 on a new lower would be illegal. |

Maryland state police gas not released a final guidance on this. However any taper or launcher cut out is absolutely not allowed. |
