Sadly the communist state that i live in (California) has caused me to disassemble my SP1 and go with the fixed 10rnd mag. And here is my  issue. Since i have the upper SP1 reciever i bought the Double Star lower, and at the time i didn't know i needed an adapter pin. The SP1 upper reciever hole is larger than the doule star hole. So i bought an adapter for it, but the thing is that it wobbles abit when assembled. But just abit. Like less than 2MilliMeters. Now my father told me that, that is unsafe and being just like that the firearm wont perform it's suspected duty. Does anybody know if having it a tiny bit of play will affect the rifle in anyway? And if it does. Does anybody know where to find the right adapter pin?hinking.gif

Some play between the upper and lower receiver is normal, and as long as the adapter is not allowing the front end of the upper to cant/angle upwards too much to start causing feeding problems out of the mag, everything is fine with the rifle and the adapter.

If you want to try and tighten up the fit between upper & lower - try a ACCUWedge.

- easy, cheap fix solution with no alterations to anything - It only cost a few bucks,

shotgun it open - set in the wedge - close it up - push in the rear pin & ready to GO !

If you have the single offset bushing that goes in the upper rec lug it seems like you should be able to rotate it to a position that lowers the upper rec in relation to the lower rec.

Good Luck

Ok. My dad is complaining now about the sideward movement of the upper reciever. There is little to none movement on the up and down portion. But there is side to side play. It's about the same as the other 2mm issue i had. Is this little sideward play ok? And if it is not, why would a company sell a product (possibly) out of spec that could potentially be dangerous to install? And yes, i hate this god forsaken state to. That's why im 18 now and am going to Colorado School of Trades for gunsmithing quarter way through next year.
