Very nice rifles and photography. Why no Surefire love for the M4? Hey, thanks. The 14.5" carbine is a Colt LE6921 upper on a Mega lower, and I use it as a backup as well as a configuration tester. I've had a Surefire comp on and off the barrel a few times, and frankly the carbine gets too long with the can attached. POI shift is also more noticeable because the barrel is gov't profile under the handguards. The can works much better on my 12.5" guns because the barrels are short and don't flex as much, and on the 16" DMR rig because the barrel is heavier. The 16" also doesn't foul as much as the SBRs when shooting suppressed. |
