I have a backpack, and I'm wondering if any company makes any kind of mount/attachment system to strap an AR to it, via MOLLE?
Or would I be better off trying to just run some straps around the rifle?

I've checked Blackhawk and Condor, and I've tried looking elsewhere online, but I have no idea what else to search besides "AR backpack mount", and I haven't found anything close to what I want.

Thanks

WTF?  Other than a drag bag/backpack type of rifle case, I've not seen anything like you want.  I'm thinking something along the lines of a couple carabiners rigged up with the sling or something.

Kifaru sells a sort of boot attachment for he stock and a loop that goes around the top. Hsgi sells scabbards.

When I went to Big Bend Nat'l Park this year, I carried a 12.5" AR pistol in my backpack, broken in half.

There's an item called a "weapons catch" that looks like it would work for you.  I think it would take a couple of them to properly stabilize the rifle for hiking or climbing.

Here are a few different ones:

This looks perfect. I'm trying to avoid having to buy a new backpack, and my rifle is 16", so even broken down it's still too long, unfortunately.

Those straps look perfect. Thanks for the suggestions, guys!

I'd like to hear how it works out for you, and pics would be great!

First thing I thought would be the scabard. We use it for the entry guy and his door buster.
