So I am building basically a LaRue Tactical Stealth upper because I can't afford to shell out 1,200 bucks at one time.  I have had people say that if I use the same parts that LaRue uses (barrel, upper, gas tube and gas block) except for the bolt carrier group (I have no idea who makes that for them) that the upper will not be as accurate or reliable.  Now am I missing something here, the main parts are the upper receiver, barrel (heart of it), gas block and gas tube are all straight from LaRue and if the barrel is torqued properly and if the gas block is installed correctly why would it not be the same?? Top tier BCG should work just fine and should not affect accuracy. I love LaRue products but that what could they possibly do to them that I can not do myself? Sprinkle dillo dust on the rifles?

I don't see why it wouldnt be as accurate or reliable as long as it is assembled properly.

I built a LaRue Steath upper.

There is nothing special about assembling the parts, just follow the directions.

The 'special' is how the parts are made.

What bolt carrier group did you use? what kind of accuracy results have you had and how may foot lbs did you torque the barrel? Thanks in advance.
