Well I am taking the plunge and wanting to build my own AR. However I am wanting to customize in some ways and I will list them. I would appreciate any advice and places to buy, to help keep the ultimate cost down. If this is going to be unavoidable please not this in your replies. Here we go: 1. M4 handguards: I haven't found a kit yet with these standard? 2. (16") Chrome lined barrel (does this effect the upper I buy?) 3. Flat top upper w/ the RRA tactical UTE carry handle. RRA has the forged upper for the same $190 amount as the tactical carry handle (so I guess just go for the forged upper?) 4. CAR or regular stock ( I worry about the stability of a pinned CAR stock?) 5. A kit, should I go with a full kit and then buy the barrel and accessories? Or is there kits out there than can be augumented for order? |
