I'm thinking about maybe getting a .22 conversion. Are the Ciener conversions worth it? I don't want to spend the money to find out it's a piece of $hit.

I've also looked at the complete uppers from DPMS etc. Are there any reccomendations over one brand than another? Any feedback on the complete uppers?

Thanks fellas.

[b] The Ciener Conversion has been around for a long while now. Im sure you know that. I don't have one myself but I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. It's a cheap way to get multi use of a weapon. Hope this helped

They're great... I've had one for awhile and have had no problems.. The high cap mags are hard to come by though. That would be my only complaint...

Unless you just have to have the ability to use a 30 round mag, i'd recommend the Air Force surplus unit, if you can find one.  While they're only 10 round capacity, and the mags are a funky white color (which you can paint black if it bugs you), they are the only units that hold the bolt open on the last round, making practicing fast mag changes more realistic.

Prices on both the AF and Army units have gone up in recent years, but I think they're still both less expensive than the Ceiner unit, when you can find 'em.
