ok ok i know this is a stupid question ...... will the lower on my ar-15 smooth side(no forward assist) interchange with( no gunsmithing)any upper???

You need an offset adaptor for the pivot pin because the civilian AR-15 uses a screw instead of a push pin like the military uppers. Other than that, it should fit perfectly.

i dont think not all slick slide BCG are notched of the forward assist to work
