| I have a Colt MT6700 that I recently bought new and I'm looking at a new trigger because the factory trigger is very heavy(8 to 9 pounds).I'm finding most triggers will not fit those rifles with a sear block such as Jard and McCormick.Does anyone know of a good quality trigger that will fit my gun with a sear block?I do not have access to a good gunsmith locally,so I do most of my work myself.Any info would be appreciated. |
| Well,I just answered my own question when I stripped my AR down.It does not have a sear block.I thought all Colts made during the ban had the block. My Colt was made in 2004 maybe after the sunset of the ban,I don't really know.It looks like I can use just about any good trigger out there with large pins.I'm looking at Jard and JP.Any reviews would be welcome. |
Colt stopped using the protruding searblock back in the 90s for what it's worth. Jard and JP and both good triggers. The Accuracy Speaks is also a great choice in a single stage trigger. |
| Thanks for the replies. As you can tell I'm still ignorant to everything about the AR's but learning everyday.I've hunted for 40 years and shot pistol bullseye for a few years and have hunted varmints and deer with handguns, but have always had a yearning for an AR-15.Thanks again. |
