Hey guys-
I've owned one sling for one of my ARs since I had it. I was running an ASAP with the MS2 sling from Magpul. I just sold the ASAP because I'm changing things around on the gun and decided it made too much noise. I saw that there was the MAD Hook Up that looked like a decent replacement to run with the sling. Only problem is I can't find one. My question is what other options are out there for running a sling that attaches at the rear similiar to what I was running. Is there something better than the claw system that can be run into a 2 point sling as well? Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Check out the Noveske Minimalist What kind of sling would run in that? I guess that's where my confusion is. I see all these quick detach things but don't know what slings will work with it. I'd like to run single point like the MS2 and be able to use it as a 2 point when needed/wanted... |

I would go with either the Noveske or Daniel Defense QD receiver plate adapters. They work well and they don't make all the noise that the MS2 does.
As far as sling, any single point sling would work, you would just either add the QD sling swivel or hook into it. Magpul also makes the MS3 with a QD sling swivel instead of a hook. The MAD is a great idea, my buddy has a couple of them, but they have one problem, they will rotate and slide if you put too much pressure on them |

Last question before I go searching. If I were to get the QD socket for the NSR rail, there is a swivel that the claw from the MS3 can clamp onto? |

IKICKHIPPIES Personally, the IKH SLAP seems a little thin. I had one on a lower and just didn't like the feel of it. I have a SLAP made by KZ (I know, sold through BOTACH ). But the plate itself is about 3-4 times the thickness of the IKH plates and has a much nicer finish to it. It definitely is more solid than the IKH plate
Both the KZ SLAP and the KZ QD End plate are like $20 (versus the $40-$50 that you will spend on a DD or Noveske), but you have to go through Botach......... KZ Sling Mounts |

Fuck Botach sideways with a chainsaw. Those mental muffins ripped-off the M.A.D. Hook Up with some Chinese junk.
The Hook Up was designed with input from LE and military guys who beat the snot out of the prototypes. It's rock solid and trusted by guys who can't dick around with toy parts on their duty rifles. There's a new look on the current version to avoid any confusion going forward. Go check their web site for more info. https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/487594_662042630488674_1715709019_n.jpg Yeah..... and I still don't think that they solved the issue. The mount itself does not index or lock into any portion of the buffer tube. That thing will start to rotate on you. My manager and I ordered a couple and we had that exact issue. The only reason they are a nice solution is if you do not want to break your stake or use the larger mounts that are out there. That being said, the KZ mounts that I have used have worked and been rock solid so why not use them |

And there have been a number of Shrek-sized muthers that tried to force the issue. The KZ is nothing more than a cheap knockoff, period. |
