Anyone ever used one of these and are they any good?

CRRRRAP...  Actually I will give you my experiences and you can decide for yourself.  The Digital worked fine for me on a 10/22 but my AR15 wouldn't hold zero and the battery life was terrible.  I also owned a 4-12x60 illuminated scope for varmint use.  Accurate and beefy but heavy as hell and the rings that came with the unit were terribly out of square.  Had I used them they would have damaged the scope.

What I swapped to are the Millett tactical for the varmint and a 1-4x for CQB.  Cost is slightly higher but quality is considerably better.  My AR10 .308 has a Leupy M4($1000), my AR15's have the Millett ($250) for varmint control and a Meopta ($300) for 3-gun.  All are good but I am not in a combat situation.  I can bang them a bit but they are not a USO or S&B.

Hang around the optics forums a bit and see what people say.  One side of the spectrum believe that $=quality, other end is fine with knock-offs that support the Chinese.  I believe that you get what you pay for but the additional cost may not grant you features that will actually benefit your type of shooting.

Hope it helps.
