ok, this might be a dumb question to all you guys that have been around these guns for a while, especially during the ban years... but I'm fairly new to these weapons.... does the end of the AWB mean that guns that were only available to LEO and government agencies, now legal for the rest of us to own.... ie; the Colt 6920 marked LEO... I'm just trying to get some clarification on this issue... I see post stating that they are still restricted to LEO only... and I see posts that appear to say that they are not... so what is the TRUTH...?? |

Remember that IMPORTED AW's (SIG 550's, AUG's, AK's, etc, made entirely from foreign parts) are STILL BANNED because they were banned by executive order in 1989, not by the 1994 Crime Bill. The 1989 ban DID NOT and WILL NOT sunset like the AWB did. Go to the ATF site and read about it there. ATF Website |
