Anybody here on the waiting list for an AX556 from AXTS? I've had my order placed since Feb 2.

Initially they quoted 60 days, but that has since long past. My last inquiry was a couple weeks ago, and they said to "wait for an announcement on Facebook."

Anybody have any details on whats going on? I don't know how much longer I can wait...

I ordered mine 5 weeks 5 days ago, I actually called them today and was told another 5 weeks. I was orignally told 8-10 so will be around that time frame, but I know what you mean. I don't mind waiting but damn it's frustrating. By the way we should start an AXTS AX556 picture thread, anyone else got pics of theirs. Maybe that will make the wait easier.

Waiting is half the fun....this coming from a guy that's very impatient

We haven't had any 45 degree selectors to send to AXTS for couple of months, we'll catch up on 45 degree selector production in a few weeks.  If you've taken the steps to look into, and purchase an AX556 receiver, you owe it to yourself to experience the 45 degree selector difference

I ordered it with the 45 degree selector, I was going to get one anyway so it made it a pretty sweet deal getting a discount on it when I ordered the lower. I've heard a lot of great things about them(AXTS and Bad Lever). It's a great idea for those in the industry to team up and offer their products together...can't wait. I'll definitely be talking it up all over. Waiting is not as fun as putting lead downrange, not complaining just anxious.

The saving in ordering the AXTS receiver with the 45 degree selector (about $20) is an incentive.  Unless you guys want to go straight to the BAD-CASS-ST (dovetailed short throw selector), which AXTS doesn't carry yet (mostly because in the first run, we didn't make that many BAD-CASS-ST)

BAD-A.S.S on the left, BAD-CASS-ST (semi auto, short throw) on the right to illustrate the difference in dovetailed lever attachment.

The 45 degree selector's FIRE is between 10 and 11 o'clock, instead of 12 o'clock, it's very fast, but more importantly, it allows the user to manipulate the selector without shifting his grip.

Please go to this link and this link for more info.

Please note that for liability reasons, the 45 degree selectors have a stainless steel pin block that prevents its use on non-45 degree compatible receivers.  The removal of the pin block will render the selector a drop-in selector for any standard AR style receiver, but will also void the warranty.

The difference is the way the levers attach to the selector center.
The CASS-3P family of selectors use horizontally mounted dovetail (in relation to the lever) to slide on the selector center, where the dovetail interface is responsible for keeping the levers attached to the center, whereas the BAD-A.S.S uses a “drop-in”, more conventional means, where the screw is responsible for keeping the levers attached.

In tests, even without the screws, the levers are able to stay on the selector center for multiple rotations (up to 200 in one test until the tester got bored and stopped).

As the CASS-3P was developed for the military, it doesn’t have as many lever options, but we’re porting the short-thin, hybrid, and crank levers to the CASS family.  For now, there are standard, short, and thin levers, and an end cap for the CASS family of selectors.

I know this is kind of an old thread, but I sent them an e-mail because I was going to be ordering one and they said they estimate delivery at the end of June/beginning of July.  I'm currently just waiting to hear back from my FFL to see if he can do the transfer since he isn't listed on their locator and I haven't talked to him in awhile.  I may just order it tomorrow and tell them I can send them FFL info later.  As of a week ago I was told it I would be guaranteed a receiver in this next run if I got my order in...trying not to wait too long.  I will also be combining it with the 45 degree selector.  My current BAD-ASS is awesome in it's 90 degree configuration so I can only see it getting better.
