Got home from the range today and took apart my Bushy.  As I pushed out the rear take-down pin, it kept on going and wound up on the floor!  I looked at the lower and could see the retaining pin spring, but the retaining pin was nowhere to be found.  Time to panic?

Nah.  Thanks to the good folks at AR15.com, I knew what spare parts I should have on hand.  Thanks to the site's manuals, I identified the correct replacement pin and installed it.  Voila!  My Bushy was back to nominal condition.

What could have been days of worry was nothing more than an extra 5 minutes of shop time.  Take a bow, you guys; you really helped me out.

El_Roto, did you ever figure out what happened to the takedown detent?  I lost one once in the carpet during a lower build, but I've never lost one IN the gun...

bmac, I went for the whole ball of wax and got the Complete Spare Parts Kit from Bushmaster.  It's got every spring, pin, and detent in the weapon plus a firing pin, gas rings...it's got a lot.

DarkStar, I have no idea where that sucker got off to; for all I know I somehow managed to snap it off when I took the rifle apart at the range.  It's definitely not in the lower.
