I own a surefire G2 flashlight.  I was thinking about mounting it to my rifle w/rail.  What kind of adapator do I need to use to secure the light?
Thanks

Ps  I know the G2 is cheap compared to other lights, but I don't plan on using it all that much...this is a just in case type of addition.

a cheap 1" scope mount can be used if your on a tight budget.

That's exactly what I'm using, mounted to a MOE handguard. The Ergo rails are what Magpul sends you of you order rails from them for a MOE handguard. The Viking Tactics mount is plastic (light weight) with screws going into metal nuts. Due to the design (3 rings that go around the flashlight), you can mount it in a way that it holds the back cap of the G2 in place, preventing it from moving into the "always on" or "always off" position.

There are two screws that clamp the flasihlight into the mount, and two that hold the mount to the rail. There is one bar that fits into the space in the rail to keep the whole mount from moving.

If I was going to do it again, I'd get a shorter rail segment though...
