I am zeroing my rifle. (PWS gas piston, CMMG rec and 14.7 socom barrel, TA33R8 acog)

It seems that LC m855 is shooting horrible groups at 100 yards (probally 3-4 moa). TAP 75gr FPD is alot more accurate, literally hanging in the same hole.

Would you sight in with the 62 grain  (on the tip of the diamond @ 100yards/meters) or with the 75 grain? I feel the M855 is a waste of ammo even trying to sight in with.

It really depends on what you'll be shooting PAST 100m - unless it's a predictable enough offset (not really).

If you'd only be using the 62gr within 100m, then who cares: if you're fretting about accuracy you could just as easily drop in the better 75gr rounds.  Heck, getting some cheaper 75gr stuff to use instead of your LC in this rifle might make more sense, and just keep the 75gr zero, since it sounds like the TAP is working that much better for you.

I have some hornady steel case 75grain but only about 750 rounds of it and am unable to find it for sale so I probally wont be touching it. I think I have 500 FPD 75grain rounds and a few extras for sight in..

75grain seems to shoot a bit higher tthan 62, like an inch or so. I really wish the 62 shot better because I have lots of 62gr projectiles for reloading.

What kind of rest are you using??

When was the last time the rifle was cleaned, (de-coppered)?

Mix 3 rnds of M855 and 3 rnds of 75gr rounds up in the magazine and see if each makes its own group, or if its shooter error.
