[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Action Block Vise Size

I've got an action block on order (this one). Could someone with a similar block tell me how wide it is? I only have a small vise that opens up around 3". I might need to get a new one to use it properly.

2.5 inches when clamped on an upper.

I use a relatively small vise for my action work and never had a problem...

Just make sure it's mounted securely to your bench...

I use the biggest vice I can lift up onto the bench

3" should do it. My 4" has never had a problem with an AR upper or lower action block.
