Hello,

Been ages since I've been here.   After my DI build, drifted off into the KEI Japanese trucks.   My build was geared towards hunting rabbits ('Bunny Hugger Project') and its DI.   Absolutely nothing wrong with the upper and DI ... however, the comfort of cleaning ars has long gone and I find the ar to be one of the worst rifles to clean IMHO (guns/rifles I've experienced).   I've watched Adams Arms for along time... and finally got one of the Adams products through Rainier Arms.   Those guys at Rainier helped me out on an exchange due to my requirement of a snug upper to lower fit ... so i want to give those guys a big thumbs up.

I bet there are a number of reviews here, but for me ... the Adams Arms base model piston upper is a hell of a deal for the price.   My upper has oustanding fit and finish - assembly is pretty good - some punch nicks on the gas block, but I'm picky.   I'm not saying I don't like some of the others offered ... but crap, the price tag is out there.   The Adams Arms system makes sense to me - I was sold.   I thought about doing the kit on my DI, but why ... so close to just getting another complete upper.   Also, I don't hang a bunch of accessories off my bunny gun (speaking cottontail rabbits here guys).   Thus for my distance and purpose ... awesome setup ... even for possible home defense.

Whats on my new upper ... well, the eotech stays.   Always wanted and plan to get some flip sights.  I'm going to go with a vortex flash hider (watched all the videos - sold me .... although I did not think the birdcage is bad).   If I had a beef with the Adams kit ... I'd like a bottom rail on that block as well ... so I could easily add a light or sling.    Sure I can rig something up.

Going to end this, but I like guns for different reasons and purposes ... Thought Adams put together a nice product here.   Glad to have picked one up.

Cheers,

Norm

I love mine and added a fixed AR looking Troy front site with a Matech rear (got it new for $40).  Love how it looks and haven't zeroed it yet and also have an ACOG.

Adams is an awesome kit.  They are simple and cleaning is NEARLY non existent.  I'm slowly converting all my rifles over.
