| I am looking at adding an aftermarket backup sight to my Bushmaster Patrolman in place of the carry handle sight. According to Bushmaster's web page, if I use anything other than a couple of backup sights manufactured by Bushmaster I will need to replace my front sight post with a taller post. I have a Colt and replaced the carry handle with a Troy folding sight and had no problem. I would appreciate if someone could let me know what the difference is. Maybe this is an issue most everyone else understands, but not me. Happy Thanksgiving |

If you put on a rear sight other then the BM you will have to screw the front pin all the way out.(or replace it with a Taller one). If you put the BM and Colt Carry handles side by side you will see the Colt is taller.
The front sight towers are not the same hight. The front sight on a Colt is F marked and the BM is not. |
