| I need a recommendation on a adjustable gas block. I want one like the one offered by Spikes, but for a .750" barrel. I really like how the controls for it are on the muzzle end of the gas block and that there is a detent that keeps the set screw from backing out. I am not interested in any gas block that relies on loctite to keep the adjustment screw from backing out. I also am not a huge fan of a set screw holding another set screw to keep it from backing out. Is there an adjustable gas block out there for me? |

Quoted: Awesome! Is seems like they both fit the bill. Has anyone had an issue with clamp-on gas blocks? I am going to use the ones with the set screws on my .308 and SPR, but my 10.5" is going to need a clamp-on. Clamp on is better IMO. Best gas seal, more surface area contact which can theoretically produce better barrel harmonics, and it's been shown that if done right, is extremely secure to the point where another parts of the barrel will fail before the gas block comes off. |
